The Gabon trip was made up of a delegation of 6 CAMSA members who were invited by the ‘Union National des Etudiats du Gabon’ (UNEG) for a health caravane on mental health with theme Promoting mental health awareness in the Gabonese student. Therein, the CAMSA members participated in various conferences on mental health, carried out medical consultations, education and counselling of the students.
Our delegation was opportuned to visit some universities and hospitals in Libreville Gabon. They also had the priviledge to meet with the youth representative for the ministry of youth and various authorities within the Gabonese administration. They were also opportuned to attend a mental health symposium sponsored by the American embassy in Libreville, attended a multi-cultural trade fair and had a tour of the beautiful city of Libreville.
